A life surrendered to Jesus Christ, Cheryl’s journey has been filled with God moments, surprise, and wonder! “God has truly been 'a lamp to my feet and a light to my path,' " (Psalm 119:105), states Cheryl as she reflects upon her walk with the Lord.

As a woman of great faith, she is humbly aware and forever grateful to be a vessel used by the Lord with full knowledge that “every good and perfect gift comes down from Father of the heavenly lights who does not change like shifting shadows.” (James 1:17) Jesus is to be praised in and for all things all glory to God!

A Jesus follower passionate about God’s Word with a love for children, Cheryl is inspirational in creatively teaching and sharing Biblical wisdom to the impressionable hearts of children. Although the bulk of her career has been as a Christian educator, Cheryl has had a wealth of other experiences including leadership, public relations, marketing, and public speaking.

What was her inspiration in becoming a writer of children’s books?

During a medical leave, God spoke to Cheryl’s heart to continue the call He had on her life nearly 25 years prior, to teach and disciple children according to the Scriptures. However, this new chapter of life would be as a writer of children’s books, rather than a classroom teacher. At that moment, in obedience to her Father, God, Cheryl started writing. The Holy Bible as her inspiration, she excitedly began her pursuit of this new career. With rejoicing in her heart, she was living out the verse, “…weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5b) Launching a career as a writer, Cheryl creates colorful, thematic books bringing the truths of the Scriptures in a fashion that tug at a child’s heart.

We are living in a day and age where absolute truths are few and the Holy Bible is becoming less and less apparent as one’s compass for life. Cheryl’s passion for God’s Word is inspirational as she encourages parents to impress it upon their children. Her books are designed to be used as teaching tools to assist parents in helping their children in understanding and applying God’s Word to daily life.

Besides sharing her love of the Scriptures, Cheryl’s interests include, nutrition and healthy cooking, decorating, exercising through weight training, pilates, hiking, and cycling. She loves being on the water whether boating, kayaking, walking along the beach, or just sitting and enjoying God’s beautiful sunsets! Cheryl enjoys music, dance, and the arts. She has fun sharing her heart, her interests, laughing and being silly with her children and grandchildren. A devoted wife to her husband of 42+ years, blessed with four children, their spouses, and 7 grandchildren, Cheryl’s greatest treasure outside of Jesus is family.
